D&D Experience 2012 - January 26th-29th

The premiere D&D convention is back for another year in snowy Fort Wayne, IN! A foot plus of snow couldn't slow us down before and this year looks to be even bigger and better then last year. Come join hundreds of your fellow RPGA and D&D enthusiasts for a four-day extended weekend of gaming goodness.

This show is about gaming from start to finish.

D&D Experience 2012 is the show to get the inside scoop on what’s new in 2012 for D&D and to interact face-to-face with the D&D designers and developers behind those products. No other show gives you the ability to sit down with the writers behind the game you love and ask the questions that you want to hear the answers to. Special guests will be running games throughout the show, hosting seminars and Q&A sessions, and just sitting at empty tables in the gaming hall wanting to hear what you like and dislike about the game.

Don't think you'll get to chat with some designers?  Check out this post show report from last years show.

  • Preview Material: No other show comes close to D&D Experience for preview material.  You will know about all the cool products lined up for 2012, even before the big box retailers. Many of the writers of these products, as well as brand managers, will be onsite to answer questions you may have about D&D and where it is going in 2012 and beyond. Special D&D Events are being worked on by Wizards R&D as we speak to knock your socks off.
  • Seminars Galore: We’re expanding our seminar content this year with at least a half-dozen seminars and workshops taking place; including the return of the ever-popular Annual Product Preview (get ready to tweet and blog),  A complete seminar schedule with descriptions will be available soon. Please note - all seminars will take place during the afternoon gaming slot (starting at 1 PM) each day.
  • Ashes of Athas: The campaign celebrates its one year anniversary with a new chapter set in the burnt world of Athas. Three brand new adventures to challenge those foolish enough to call themselves adventurers. Keep an eye on this website for more information as the show approaches.
  • Access to Wizards Staff: D&D Experience is one of the best places to meet and greet the people that work on the D&D game. This year we have a number of guests who will be running games, hosting seminars, and signing autographs throughout the entire weekend. Staff confirmations will happen in November and updates posted here. Get your book signed, play a game with us, listen to us exchange witty banter at seminars, or just bend our ear to let us know what you think about the game.
  • Living Forgotten Realms and More: Lest we forget, D&D Experience is also about playing the hottest new adventures in Organized Play, including a bunch of great new Living Forgotten Realms adventures. Everybody knows where the biggest and coolest LFR events run and this years show is no exception. Another awesome battle interactive for the campaign is being written and playtested right now! Whether you're new to Living Forgotten Realms, or a veteran - D&D Experience is a great place opportunity to play exclusive content!
  • Vendors for Your Gaming Needs: Once again, D&D Experience will have a number of vendors available where you can pick up the latest RPG releases, grab some dice, or get the tool you need to play or DM your game. Don’t fret if you forget a rulebook or your dice bag; we’ll have you covered at the show.
  • Other Upcoming Surprises: More than just our big early releases during the year, we’re going to save a few surprises for show time. You can expect to have close encounters with products releasing in the first half of 2012 during the show in various places. If you’re coming to the show, keep your eyes peeled!

So welcome and take a look around. Parts of the site will be going up day by day throughout the month of October so stop back now and then to check things out. The show is going to be great this year I promise.
