As we kick off our SIXTH year of Online D&D, it’s time to level-up! Welcome to the first Weekend in Highfolk!
Weekend in Highfolk 2025 – The Basics
Lets start by going over some basic terminology and then get right to the gathering of information.
- Slot: This is a numerical unit of time, or block, the event is built around. For example Slot One is Friday 9am-2pm (EST). Slot Eleven is Sunday 2pm-7pm (EDT). Using these blocks it lets us align our schedule to make it easier for players to play in multiple events without things overlapping and conflicting.
Note that while the slots are 5 hours long, the game is expected to take approximately 4 hours, with a roughly one-hour buffer before the next slot. - Marshalling: This is the organizing of DM’s and players in advance of the games starting. This happens on our event-specific Discord server for DMs (you’ll get a link with your schedule once accepted). Our goal is to make sure games start on time, but since we can’t see you like in a in-person convention, it’s very important you follow all procedures both leading up to the show and leading up to your games.
